What is the best currency to use in France

Answered By: Raymond Turner Date: created: Oct 11 2021

and money.

  • The unit of currency in France is the euro, as in most other countries of the European Union.
  • Use a credit card, widely used for purchases in France, but only if it is a credit card with a computer chip in it (carte à puce).
  • The USA is making (belatedly) the transition to chip cards.

Should I exchange money before I travel to Paris

Answered By: Oliver Diaz Date: created: Aug 24 2021

Don’t go to your bank and exchange all your money before your France or European trip. You will probably pay a higher rate than necessary, and you don’t want to be running around with all that cash in your wallet. Don’t exchange money at the bureau de change or such at the airport or in tourist areas.

How much cash should I carry in Paris

Answered By: Malcolm Campbell Date: created: Dec 07 2020

400 euros should be sufficient. You don’t want to be stuck with a lot of euros at the end of your trip, and then have to exchange them at a bad rate. (Alternative: a stop at the airport gift shop.) You can use a credit card to pay for just about all the attractions you mention in your post.

Avoid (or at least minimize) cash exchange.

In general, I avoid exchanging money in Europe; it’s a big rip-off. On average, at a bank you lose about 8 percent when you change dollars to euros or another foreign currency.

Do I need to carry cash in Paris

Answered By: Hayden Diaz Date: created: Feb 18 2022

Cash is not a good way to carry money; it can be stolen and in France you often won’t get the best exchange rates. In Paris, bureaux de change are usually more efficient, are open longer hours and give better rates than banks – many banks don’t even offer exchange services.

The least expensive place to eat at most cafes is standing at the bar. Lunch is the least expensive meal of the day in Paris, while dinner is generally the most expensive. You can dine for as little as 8 or 10 euros, or you can spend as much as you want, again, it all depends on where you decide to dine.

Which is stronger euro or dollar

Answered By: Howard Adams Date: created: Apr 03 2022

As it stands, U.S. currency has one of the strongest exchange rates in the world. While the euro is currently stronger than the dollar, high fluctuations in the euro’s value suggest that the currency is unstable.
