WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to design their own personalized stickers within WhatsApp Web. The function is now being released on the WhatsApp Web site, and it will be available in the coming weeks in the WhatsApp Desktop program.
The option was introduced by the Meta-owned instant messaging service on Wednesday, November 24. Users no longer have to download third-party stickers for WhatsApp and may now make their own with a few easy actions using the new functionality.
Stickers are available for purchase in various sizes, styles, and colors. Different customisation options are available to users. Users may make stickers from the same window they use to send stickers to their contacts.
“Sticker Maker is available now on WhatsApp for Web and rolling out in the coming week on Desktop. To use Sticker Maker, download the latest version of WhatsApp for Web or Desktop, from a chat window select the attachments icon (paperclip), then the Sticker icon, and from there you can upload a photo and make your own magic,” the company said in a press release.
Users must follow the given instructions to create their own stickers:
1. Open WhatsApp, then open any chat
2. Click attach (paperclip icon)
3. Select Stickers
4. Upload a photo and make your own sticker with a variety of options for text and effects
5. Click the send button when done
Whatsapp has included features like the ability to draw, type, crop, and incorporate emojis into the personalized stickers that users will be able to generate. When these functions are released for mobile app users, it is unknown whether they will be extended to WhatsApp on web.
