Are there dangerous parts of Paris
The most dangerous places are far from Paris, there’s no chance that you’ll find yourself in the middle of it. Avoid the two woods Bois de Vincennes and Bois de Boulogne at night too. Well, I hope this post will help you during your stay in Paris, or better, decide you to bring there !
Where should you avoid in Paris
Especially when traveling alone, avoid areas around metro Les Halles, Chatelet, Gare du Nord, Stalingrad and Jaures late at night or when the streets appear less than crowded. While generally safe, these areas have at times been known to harbor gang activity or to be the site of hate crimes.
What is the safest arrondissement to stay at in Paris
1st Arrondissement
The advantage of staying here is that you are within walking distance of most of the top tourist destinations and restaurants in Paris and the area is very safe, as is most of Paris. More information on the 1st Arrondissement.
Where is the ghetto in Paris
You should also avoid walking at night time on the Barbes Boulevard, the Forum des halles and the Seine banks (by the river; up the street is fine). Most Paris suburbs are safe enough, but don’t go to St Denis, La Courneuve, or Mantes-la-Jolie unless you want to see what a French ghetto is like.
