Custom mechanical keyboards can be expensive, costing several hundreds of dollars in some cases. If you don’t have that amount of money or don’t want to spend that much, the Mechlite Nano keyboard from IOGear’s Kaliber Gaming brand may be of interest.

Unlike other mechanical keyboards, the Kaliber Gaming has wireless connectivity, which is fantastic if you don’t enjoy dealing with cords and prefer a cleaner setup. It’s a 65 percent keyboard, which means the function key row, numpad, and several navigation keys have been removed.

It does, however, contain arrow keys and certain navigation keys, such as page up and page down, so if that’s enough for you, this may be a small setup. It includes a set of PBT keycaps, and based on the layout, it appears to use fairly standard keycaps, so you should be able to personalise it with aftermarket keycaps.

Red linear box switches will be used on the keyboard. There’s even a rotary knob on the side that you can use to adjust volume on the fly. The best thing is that the Mechlite Nano costs only $85, which is a bargain when compared to most bespoke mechanical keyboards. It is planned to be ready in the first quarter of 2022.
